the rules — kept short
terms of service
last updated: September 25, 2026
These terms cover the website, graphics and related work dsgn.byx does for you, and the text messages we may send about your inquiry. Using this site or hiring me means you accept them.
01what I do
dsgn.byx builds websites and visual material for small businesses — one-page sites, service and menu pages, booking links, galleries, Google Maps setup, flyers and branding. The exact deliverables for your project are the ones we agree in writing before I start.
02getting started
You send the form on this site (or message me directly). That creates no obligation on either side — it just starts the conversation. Work begins once you confirm the scope and the quote, and any deposit in the quote is paid.
03pricing and payment
This site deliberately lists no prices. Every job gets its own quote in writing before work starts, and that quote — not anything on this page — is what you pay. Payment terms, deposits and what happens if a project stalls are stated in the quote or invoice.
04what you give me
You confirm you have the right to use the photos, logos, text and product names you send me, and that nothing you provide infringes anyone else's rights. If you send me a competitor's design as inspiration, that's fine — I use it as a reference, not as a file to copy.
05who owns what
Once your invoice is paid in full, the delivered work is yours: the pages, the files, the copy I wrote for you. I keep the right to show finished work in my portfolio and on social media unless you tell me not to. If I build on my own tools or templates, you get a permanent license to use them for your business.
06domains and hosting
A domain you register stays yours, even if I set it up for you. Where a site is hosted under an account I manage, I'll hand over access or move it wherever you choose when the project ends.
07changes, revisions and going live
Small tweaks after delivery are included as long as they're reasonable. Anything that changes the agreed scope — extra pages, a booking system, a menu that keeps growing — gets its own quote. I launch when you say go, which means you've checked the text, prices and contact details on the live pages.
08text messages
If you ticked the consent box or asked me to text you, I may send messages about your inquiry, booking confirmations and service updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time — you don't have to buy anything to opt out. Carriers aren't responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Opting out doesn't stop me from answering a question you sent by another channel.
09no guarantees
I build sites designed to make a good impression and get enquiries. I can't guarantee search rankings, sales, or how customers behave, and I'm not responsible for lost profits or revenue. To the fullest extent the law allows, my liability for a project is limited to what you paid for it.
10the legal bits
If anything here conflicts with a signed agreement we both signed, the signed agreement wins. If a court strikes one line, the rest stands. I can update these terms; the version posted here is the one in force, with the date at the top. Governing law and any disputes are set by the written quote for your project.
